Question on PSU

I need your advise o confirmation on this mga bro. Nagplano mi pabarog 1 pc para butanganan lang dyud sa mga files from the other pc's (nakanetwork). So like there would be around 3 hardisk nga tag 500gb on it. Ang recomendation sa computer shop kay I need to have an aftermarket PSU daw para sigurado ang supply sa hardisk ug uban hardware. Can you confirm this? Di diay maayo ang PSU sa mga baligya nga casings nga naa na PSU daan?

kaya raman sa ordinary PSU provided wala lain power-hungry na device sa imo kani na computer. mahug raman kaha ni file-server?

but to protect ur investment, mas maayo good quality ang psu nmo, to avoid any problems due to power abnormalities( of course u would still nid avr/ups and line filters sa imo AC line)

Iis this a 24/7 file server? if it is, then at least get a HEC Raptor 500w for 2.3k, even if makaya ra sa generic psu, maniguro nalang daan. Better safe than sorry.

IF you want to protect your investment, I'd advise to get a UPS...especially with the frequent brown-outs. Intermittent shutdowns will likely damage your components.

I think the Generic PSU can hold it for the meantime. You can purchase True-Rated PSUs later on (if you're a bit tight on budget).

nope, dili ni 24/7 file server... 8 hrs a day, 6 days wk lang gamit. Salamat sa mga advises mga bro!

aw..kaya ramana bos og mga generic na PSU din basta naa lang moy UPS, din 12v ramana ang HDD nya 500w up man kaha imo PSU,,,,

just get a generic PSU bro.that should be around 1,200?naa man tag 950 tngae gani.

bro, kaya ra na sa mga generic pero much better jud kung branded if PSU. Then, if file server ra jud imo purpose dapat dili nalang ka magtaod pud v-card sa imo, instead use the onboard nalang to save power.
