Question on mga drive sa HD.

i have 80gb hd. then akong ge partition ika tolo.. which gave me results like these.
c: 20gb
d: cdrom
e: usb drive
f: 20gd (newly partitioned)
g: 40gd (newly partioned)


my question is, can i insert my existing drive f: and g: in between drive c: and d how can i do it?
c: 20gb
d 20gd (newly partitioned)

right click the drive, change drive letter thats it

im not sure but i think datz how u do it for Windows 98,......

for XP,.... i think its diff. (am i right?)

format again the HD then rename the drive partition when you enter the partition. use boot up disk not the windows installer

if you are using XP.... follow this sequence

go to Control Panel, click Administative Tools, click Computer Management then select Disk Management... Now you see all your drives, right click then choose Change Drive Letter and Path... your done!

just a suggestion - make ur cdrom the last drive, i.e, Drive Z, so that it will never be changed. since ur changing drive letters, just note that any programs you installed with the cdrom when it was drive d won't run; you'll have to change the program reference to your new drive letter. if you're using partition magic, there's a tool that will do this automatically for you.

What's the discrepancy between DYNAMIC TYPE DISK and BASIC TYPE DISK?
Does it make any difference? My master drive is DYNAMIC and my slave drive is BASIC..
anyone?!
