Administration presidential candidate Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. lost an ally in Cebu to Sen. Manuel Villar.
This after sixth district Rep. Nerissa Soon-Ruiz bolted from the One Cebu coalition and the administration party Lakas-Kampi-CMD to back Villar, the standard bearer of the Nacionalista Party (NP).
Now allied with Villar, Soon-Ruiz' group considered itself resigned from Lakas-Kampi as of yesterday and will also be submitting a “courtesy resignation” to the One Cebu party.
“How could Inday Nerry decide to shift alone by herself to Villar without consent from other party mates? It was supposed to be that Pablo, Pablo John and Salimbangon who will lead the shift, but, after the meeting with Gwen, the three turned around leaving Nerry,” the source said.

Even though she and her slate are willing to resign from Garcia's One Cebu party, Soon-Ruiz said they would still support the reelection bid of the governor.
But for Soon-Ruiz' opponents, her shift to Villar and subsequent resignation from the Lakas will only boost the reelection bid of incumbent Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes, who is running under the Liberal Party.
Because Manny Villar is ahead at the poll surveys than Gibo, thats why she decided to shift a candidate? Paila lang si Nerry na she longs for money and power. geez! And about her shifting to other candidate, now she thinks this will boost the reelection bid of incumbent Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes?
Sorry Nerry but i dont think youre a competent leader. Nerry Ruiz is just thinking of her own needs. Sigurista sad siya, though she changed Gibo for Villar (because Villar has most votes in the survey), sorry nalang siya kay di jud siya madaug as a Mayor in Mandaue.
Just what Mayor Cortes said "Now the people see for themselves how they flip-flop on their stand. How can you expect them to be good leaders? " Exactly, how can Nerry be a good leader, na bisan to herself wala siya salig sa iyang gisupportahan at first. She is a double-dealing double agent.
tsk3.
Lets go for TEAM MANDAUE! the only team we can trust. I really care for Mandaue.
