dili man pero naay mga motherboard na artehon na pilian ug same ug speed and some are just limited. ang imo kasaligan ana kay ang motherboard manual nimo kung compatible ra ba mag sagol2x pero mostlikely compatible ra sagol as long as ang frequency ug pinning nila same ra.

and limes is right. ideally, mo-downgrade ang imong ddr400 to ddr333 speed.. but sometimes kay dili tungod sa mobo incapability.

not necesarily same brand pero same speed/bandwidth lng recomended.

some motherboards will accept your ram... but some motherboards wont, and theres a possibility that your 256MB(PC2700) will be damaged.... since 512MB(3200) and 256MB(2700) are not compatible

@TS pls post the model of your motherboard and also your processor so we can see if this would be possible or not. the answer varies jud it depends on what you have.
