ati 5xxx users... nag directx 11 namo?

users of ati 5xxx, gagamit namo sa directx 11 ability sa inyo vcards? naa rako gamay questions:

1. kinahanglan jud ni sya ug windows 7 right? - doesnt matter if 32bit or 64bit?
2. unsa inyo experience sa gaming aning windows 7? coz the last time i tried comparing framerates of a game running windows xp and windows 7 mas taas man gyapon framerates sa windows xp so nibalik nalang ko windows xp instead of going windows 7. gamit manko 8800gt ato na time. unsa inyo masulti kabahin ani nga experience nako?
3. based sa ako experience sa "2." mas paspas pajud performance ang xp kaysa windows 7 in gaming?
4. curious ramangudko aning directx11, naaman dirt2, alien vs predator, bioshock2, stalker pripyat, bad company... unsa inyo ma suggest? mubalhin ko windows 7 for the dx 11 experience? unsay disadvantages if i do this?

i just want to fully understand the whole situation from people nga naka experience para maka decide ko if mu transfer nako to windows 7 for good or stay with xp lang.

1.) yes kinahanglan siya, nope it doesn't matter if it's 32-bit or 64-bit unless you are using more than 3.2gb of ram, I suggest you go for 64-bit to utilize your total system memory.
2.) based on reviews, dx9 games seems to perform best under an xp environment. Though you can't compare dx11 gaming as xp is limited to dx9 only.
3.) You are using an HD5850 right? I'm sure it can handle dx11 games pretty well. I say you go for windows 7. It's a whole new experience overall, though some attested the difference in terms of graphics isn't that noticeable. But think of it as stepping forward to a new technology. I'm sure you'll love windows 7 as a whole.

I have a HIS HD 5870, OS nako is windows 7 ultimate 64bit

1 - Yes, you need windows 7 para magamit nimo ang directx 11..32bit/64bit doesnt matter unless 4gb ram ka

2 - no comment since I did not use my vc on a pc with win xp

3 - is that a question or opinion?..hehehe

4 - I suggest that you move on to windows 7 not only its new...its AWESOME.


Question: Unsa man gyud diay kadak.a sa difference nimo nga giingon when you played games on win xp compared to win 7?

Clarify lang nako ha,...it seems your pretty much worried with this issue. This was a few months ago during the advent of win7. I believe the win7 drivers have reached the point where it can compete with the rock stable xp drivers in terms of performance. Besides, that was your 8800GT before. Why assume your HD5850 will have the same performance under win7. Have you not trust the power of the HD5850 vested on you

thanx sa inyo mga reply. maybe kato game nga ako gi compare using win xp vs win 7 basin dili pud to dx 11 nga game.

- im using 4gig ram also so at least mapakinabangan ni sya if mu transfer ko win7 64bit.
- what i was worried about was gaining just a small amount of good graphics but also losing a little bit of performance in exchange (pero karon nga 5850 ako gamit mura kaya ra ni)

@butitoy - core2duo ra ako gamit bro but i may upgrade to quads maybe later this year
@werty - bitaw bro, i think ill give it another try, kato win7 ako gamit sa una kato paman to rc version. karon naa namanko installer sa ultimate version32bit and 64bit J*ck Sp*rrow lang. heheh...
