LF: Investment Professionals who have experienced Investing (not selling)!

As the title says, I'd like to know the istoryans who are in the field of investing as INVESTORS (not just agents). Investments could be anything, from Insurance with Investment, Mutual Funds, Money Markets, to Equities trading/holding.

The reason why I'm looking for such istoryan(s) is this, I've had meetings with a number of investment agents already and many, if not most, are just not that convincing for my end because of the one main reason:

I can smell they have no technical/educational background in finance or even Commerce in general unlike myself. Ergo, I have no intention of insulting what they have learned in their training however, I too have no intention of having someone who just memorized their sales pitch to educate and lead me to the mecca of "financial freedom".

So, I'm hoping that I'd be lucky enough to bump into an istoryan who just might be living and breathing investing while others are talking about it. What I can offer in return is negotiable. A professional fee or an X deal.

My Background:

Degree Holder in Management and Accounting (shifted after realizing I have no plans of counting other people's money) from USC.
Been in Business since 2004
Been in 10 other companies as an employee (learn from experiences)
Grew Up in a Law Office background and other businesses as well...

I mean the internet can be a good source of information...

A simple way of understanding investment is to take a look at those 5/6 Bombays...

They lend you money lets say 10,000

you pay in two months 12,000. They are getting a 20% return of investment.

haha! that is too far from where I am right now and where I will probably be in the next 10 years...

for now, I'm just looking for options - I.E. where to best invest the little money I have left.

sa mutual funds, mu depend man gihapon sa navps ang pagpalit diba? so i think di mu affect if naa middleman. just look for mutual funds na maka salig ka

if gusto ka sa bank nalang na mutual funds sudli kung di ka ganahan naay "person" na middleman

kanang bonds such as govt bonds, RTB. di pako kahibaw ana, naay maka tudlo? kinsay naka suway kuha ani?
