    Default Robert plant

kinsa ganahan sa new direction ni Robert Plant? he kinda sound like a cross between Bonnie "Prince" Billy (Will Oldham) and Bon Iver nowadays..

I dunno if ever Led Zeppelin will reunite with him, i think their new album would sound more like Bonnie "Prince" Billy's latest which i don't think is gonna happen...

Pero payter kaayo ila duet with Alison Krauss pag 2007 and i heard next year naa sila plan follow up ato na album. Robert Plant also appeared on Buddy and Julie Miller's latest song What You Gonna Do Leroy on their latest album Written In Chalk currently on the top 10 lists of the best americana/country album this year from different magazines and fanzines and blogs...

i wanna see someday John Paul Jones(Led Zep bassist and a folk-country singer/producer) and Robert Plant and Jimmy Page do an album together. they may not call it Led Zeppelin but i wanna hear the three of them exploring more of their folk/blues/country roots

Seems like you want to turn every musician you know into a country musician. Quite noticeable in your posts too.

Thanks for sharing that name Greg Koch. I looked him up and love what's coming out of my speaker. blues-rock with some country and jazzy undertones..

@blacksky: they're already turned into a country musician but yeah i would like to see some of my favorite rock and pop musicians do some country projects. Mike Herrera of MXPX already had one (Tumbleweed) and recently Jim Ward(of Sparta and At The Drive In) released an album of americana rock called Sleepercar and Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody along with Jacknife Lee, Richard Colburn (of Belle & Sebastian), and Iain Archer formed the country band Tired Pony and will release an album next year...

to me its more the styles i can incorporate to what i do and not get stuck to a single genre, even Andy Wood who is in a heavier rock band enjoys country style pickin, he can insanely chickn pick

bitaw i love Robert Plant's whispery voice. Blend it with Alison Krauss and it's angelic. Can't wait for their 2nd album next year...

Another artist i love from the americana rock/country scene is Frank Black and the Catholics. Frank Black of course is the front man of the filipino-american alternative rock band The Pixies who is currently reuniting..

it's refreshing to listen to artists who stray away from their established and well known style of play and try a new genre. It keeps you from getting into a rut and broadens your horizon.....
