Default Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

I've been hooked to this series.. I'm currently reading book 6.. 10 have been published out of a planned 13..

This is really an engrossing set of books.. I'm definitely hooked.. This is not for the faint of heart though,.. the writing style is akin to that of Tolkien and might tick newbies off.. but for those who can tolerate or definitely want an adventure that apes LOTR.. this is for you...

Default Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

i am now reading New Spring: The Novel. i was supposed to have finished it already but i got my LOTR back and i was kinda confused which one to read first.

anyway, the story in the New Spring is about Moirane Damodred and Siuan Sanche, back when they were still Accepted - not Aes Sedai yet. anyone read that one already?

would u want to be Aes Sedai, nezumix? what Ajah would you choose?

    calling Lanfear! yoohooo..!

Default Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

I'm disappointed about the whole series, will it ever end First I was hooked form the start but after book 8, I felt cheated, 10 pages how a certain place is decorated come on much better is George Martin's books Fire and Ice series

Default Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

that's one of the things i like about Robert Jordan. he describes things in details. i even like the way he describes clothing. it's not for naught, u know. if anything at all, it gives you a clearer picture of the different cultures that there are in the world of The Wheel of Time.

Default Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

Robert Jordan is deep and detailed, the only problem is that with some people this makes the books too long. the average is around 700 pages i believe. the plot is that the "Dark one" is rising again and his armies are gathering and traiters etc. guess what, they have to stop the bad guys! anyway i think he is a good writer and has an interesting plot. it has a lot of little characters, some of which become large in later books, a few just fade out however. the only thing i found really annoying in one of the books is that in "the fires of heaven" he doesn't talk about perrin at all! he just completely forgets about him until "the lord of chaos." i'd like to see more good stuff in "knife of dreams"

Default Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time

I actually loved the concept of their magic.. the one power and channeling and all.. it makes the concept more believable..

Yeah.. fires of Heaven was the slowest paced of them all.. pero it held lots of surprises and some tearjerker moments..

I can't be aes sedai... i might as well be ashaman.. pero I'd be green ajah.. the battle ajah... only if warders were female...hehehe...

Yeah.. sometimes.. I'm thinkng this is final fantasy.. the fantasy series thats never final... i wonder how this will end.. will there be another breaking? will rand die? who will he end up with?

New Spring? I want to read it.. pero magsakit ko because I loved Moiraine and I missed her since fires of heaven.. and it was sad to see her go.. poor a'lan mandragoran...

i forgot how Moiraine disappeared. i read book 1 to book 8 about 2 or 3 years ago. i had a feeling she might be alive somewhere. and that she'll come back. Lan is doing okay, he has Nyneave al'Meara.

Default The Passing of the Dragon

James Oliver Rigney, Jr. passed away over a month ago. He was known to most as Robert Jordan. He died of cardiac amyloidosis on the 16th of September, 2007. Yesterday was supposed to be his 59th birthday.

I haven't browsed Robert Jordan's official site for more than a month. I've been waiting for more than 2 years for the 12th book of the Wheel of Time series.
Now, I may never get to read the ending of the saga. I went through his website (ok, i skimmed through it) and some guy said that he had the story's ending in his head. If he got it down in writing or recording, that would be great, if not, well...

I know that this is a month too late but I would like to express my deepest condolences to all who cared about him.

The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills but may the Dragon ride again upon the winds of Time...

Thank you for the information, bookee.

    Oh no.

Thank you, Robert Jordan, for all the sleepless nights I spent because I couldn't put your books down. Your books are part of my youth. I remember I wanted to be Min, and then I wanted to be Aviendha, or Nyneave. You built such wonderful characters; you're a great writer and you will live forever.

Makahilakon man sad ta oi. =(
