PSP Firmware 6.00 Decrypted Already



Well I guess it took just a few hours for PSP Custom Developer PSPGen Team to be able to decrypt part if not all of Sony new Official PSP Firmware 6.00 . I guess PSP Firmware 6.00 will be turn into PSP Custom Firmware 6.00 Gen-A hopefully in the next few days to a week or 2 .

Below is the information I found on PSPGen website about what they have discover in the PSP Official Firmware 6.00 also known as OFW 6.00 .

By cons, so we extract the files from 6.00 firmware and we have seen the emergence of new files 04g. For the record, the files are recorded _01g for PSP-1000, those with _02g the PSP-2000 and _03g the PSP-3000. These new files _04g are reserved for PSP-4000, oops sorry, the PSP Go! who are the fourth generation of handheld consoles Sony.

The list is long and it’s inside the files mesg_led, memlmd, power, imposes pops LoadExec, display, config, and wlanfirm. If for the moment, none of these files has delivered the contents of her womb, it is interesting that for the first time a file POPS dedicated to a console type made its appearance.

Clearly, the POPS is the PS1 emulator for the PSP. Since its commissioning, this emulator is compatible with all models of PSP and so there was only one file in pops.prx firmwares. This file is hacked and used to enable Custom Firmwares you can run all PS1 games or so.

I guess PSPGen has always remain active and doing as he always promise from the beginning about being able to release a PSP Custom Firmware for the homebrew community once they were able to decrypt the firmware they have been working on. And with past Custom Firmware release prior to Firmware 6.00 it seem they are in track of hopefully releasing a new PSP Custom Firmware 6.00 Gen-A as they had been doing in the past .
