unsa man akong pili.on ani?..
naglibog ko..hehe
please ko tabang og decide..
kng asa ang nindot og asa ang mas paspas..
thanks..

Q6600:
bigger cache, bigger tdp(max), has virtualization, faster than Q8200(2.33GHz), mas mahal
![]()
Q6600.. but phased out naman sya, most stores only sell Q8200-8400
nindot jd lge kuno ang Q6600 pang OC..pero d pa ko khibaw..hhehe..
i tried to OC the Q6600 to 3ghz like gi tudlo ni master simoko nko..
i change the FSB from 266x9=2.4ghz to 333x9=3ghz..
mo boot xa den ok jd kaau walay prob kng mag run og programs..
pero pag abot na sa crysis like mga 20mins nikalit lng og pawng..ambot nanu,.hehe
kng e stress test pd using prime95 after 10mins mo BSOD pd..
sa OCCT ky mo detect ra xa na naa xai error on core#3(random ang error sa core)..
d kha ni sa vcore ky stock voltage rman akong gigamit..?
or basin sa memory pd ky ako man sad 2ng gi change ang settings to 333/1066 and ako pd gi change ang DRAM voltage to 2.1v..?..
by the way mga brod.,asa man ang mas effective dako og cache o ang dako og FSB..?
thanks kau sa inyong paspas na reply..
spec sa akong rig:
CPU : Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @ 2.4ghz(default pa)
Cooler : Cooler Master V8
Mobo : DFi Lanparty JR P45-T2RS(Bios updated sa pinaka latest)
Memory : OCZ Gold(1066) 2x2gb (5-6-6@2.1v)<--naa sa sticker..hehe
Vcard : Inno3d GTX 260 216sp
PSU : FSP Epsilon 500W<--ok ra ba ni kung mag OC ko?
thanks in advanced..

just dug this up.
Comming to the performance ,the q8200 would perform better than the q6600 even at lower clocks .
There are two reasons for this
1) Streaming and SIMD extensions sse 4,sse 4.1 is present in 45 nm cpus ,it has 54 new instructions targeted to improve the performance of media, imaging, and 3D workloads.SSE4.1 adds instructions that improve compiler vectorization and significantly increase support for packed dword computation.
So even if the q6600 is running at higher clocks the q8200 will perform better in 3d applications and also in calculations.
2)The 45 nm fabrication process also makes a difference over here
well in the 45 nm fab process the density of defect-free silicon must be high ,so that during binning the processors more number of transistors are able to fit onto the smaller die of the proccessor.
the transistor count for 65nm q6600 is ~ 291M & Die size ~ 143 mm˛.
the transistor count for 45nm q8200 is ~ 420M & Die size ~ 107 mm˛.
More number of Trasistors refers to pure performance gain, trasistors are resposible for storing and retrieving the data, hence the overall performance Gain.
clearly the q8200 is faster even though the q6600 may be at higher clocks (overclocked) upto a certain range, for Eg:the stock q8200 will be equal or better performer than the q6600 running at 2.8ghz.
