CEBU CITY -- Deputy House Speaker Pablo Garcia (Cebu, 2nd district) and two other legislators will ask the Supreme Court (SC) Thursday to declare the planned automated election illegal and unconstitutional. Election commissioners, however, see no violations committed in the revelation of the SC ruling on the nullification of the P7.2-billion poll automation contract.
Garcia and Representatives Hermilando Mandanas (Batangas, 2nd district) and Antonio Cerilles (Zamboanga, 2nd district), representing Visayas, Luzon and Mindanao, said Comelec violated laws and the Constitution in its poll automation program.
