Absolutely not. Dropping out of school is simply wrong and education is always essential.

The big problem with some people is that they don't realize the consequences of dropping out of school until it's too late.

In this case, showbiz has its major temptations, especially on the youth who harbor dreams of wealth, fame, influence and comfort.

Let's just face it, a thousand can line up and join the auditions but only a handful of them will get accepted.

It does not end there though. The chosen ones have new obstacles to face before finally achieving success.

Now you tell me - with these very limited spots for success, are they worth dropping out for?

They can choose, yes. But the consequences can be very punishing for them if they fail.

Still the old saying remains and should be expressed again: STAY IN SCHOOL.

President Obama will be giving a speech addressed to America's students, emphasizing the value of education and why it is essential in any person's life.

The students who are contemplating on dropping out of school just for the sake of showbiz should watch out for that speech. I'm sure there is something valuable to learn from it.

As for parents who view education more as an expense than a priority, they should watch out for the speech too. They have to set examples, especially if they have children who dream of sacrificing their education just for the sake of showbiz, instant wealth and comfort.

Is StarStruck (or any talent search program) worth dropping out of school for? Absolutely not.
