Is there a school or a group who teaches astronomy for amateurs like me?

How can I join? Is there a fee?

If you're pursuing a career in astronomy here in the Philippines, the Rizal Technological University (RTU) in Manila is offering a BS in Astronomy, and MS in Astronomy:

If you're into more casual amateur astronomy and observation, there are iStoryan amateur astronomers who gather from time to time to do observing activities here in Cebu. Here's two examples of such events (this is from my iStorya blog):

another option would be to take up BS Physics or BS Applied Physics in UP, Ateneo, La Salle, UST or USC. Then later continue to a Masters degree on Astrophysics and maybe even continue to a PhD. This was my original plan before. Although this route I am suggesting is a bit hardcore. hehehe
