The USC Astronomical Society, led by Christopher Go, and the Cebu Amateur Astronomy Association (CA3, composed mostly of iStoryan amateur Astronomers) will be holding a public telescope viewing at 6:00 pm tonight, at the Ayala Terraces. This is in line with the ongoing world-wide activity known as 100-Hours of Astronomy...
Welcome to 100 Hours of Astronomy ...in celebration of the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first use of the telescope to look at objects in the night sky.
This event is being held simultaneously with other astronomy groups in the Philippines and the whole world.
If you want to see the moon up close, or planet Saturn, we have about 4-5 telescopes available for public use.
This is an absolutely FREE activity, all you need to bring is the zeal for knowledge and interest in the sciences.
See you there!
