    Default Minimizing Corruption

Einstein stated that if you do the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome you are delusional. That said, are the current good governance laws and related consequences effective at minimizing corruption or not? Assumung they are not, and if you believe that people are motivated at a basic level by one two factors, greed and fear. What level of consequence is then needed to minimize corruption?

    Unpardonable lifetime ban from politics
    Forfeiture of all assets
    Extended and unpardonable prison terms
    Public flogging
    Capital punishment

What will it take to put the fear in politicians so that they are not so corrupt?

all the ones you mentioned plus more hehehe...but I think it is still everyone's responsibility to do his/her own part to minimize corruption (i.e. promote honesty, vote for right persons, etc)

I think, also one way of minimizing corruption is to let this public officials publicly declare where all the taxes and government funds go and they should be accountable for every centavo. Maybe they should have a public record of all incoming and outgoing taxes and funds online. Its the people's money they use so I think we have every right to know where it goes.

transparency is often stated but rarely enacted until long after the crime is comitted. rarely do corrupt officials hold up a sign that states i am now stealing from you.

then start by voting wisely karong 2010...
Our problem is majority of the voters are non-tax payers who votes according to how much money they receive from politicians....let's help them choose......

unless we change the system we can never erase corruption. parehas na lang unta ta sa US nga 2 party system lang unya inig dagan sa candidate ang government ang mogasto sa ilaha. all the candidate have to do is present his visions and ideas on how to help the people. inig lingkod niya dapat transparent tanang transactions. kung naay bidding dapat i publish gyud hasta ang nakadaog ug unsay basis nga siya nakadaog. naa diha ang corruptions gud mao nga mga government officials ganahan gyud maka project labi nag multimillion projects kay anha sila maka kickback.

sa ato man gud present system ang candidate ang mogasto so siempre mamawi gyud na sa election. that's a given. sa presidential position pa lang mogasto na siya mga P2 Billion. unsaon gud tawon na niya pagbawi kung sa sueldo lang kay ang sueldo presidente naa ra man sa 60-80K per month.
