the speaker tells when great minds like newton, galileo and the rest gets stumped on their analysis and calls out intelligent design. if all these great minds not influenced by religion they could have gotten farther and discovered more. thus ID as the speaker suggests doesn't belong in the science labs as it would stifle the mind and inhibit the persons potential to discover more.
