Help lng mga bro, which man ang mas maaayo if lets say model sa AMD ug Pentium na equate ra ang price.
which man u prefer and why?
they said man na dali ra mo init ang pentium if used for gaming (tinuod=?)
Thanks daan istorya....

your thread title should have been "AMD or Intel".
anyway, before ka mo-post bag-o nga thread bro, please take time to read the threads nga naa na sa computer hardware section bro. daghan naa kaayo threads regarding ani nga topic.
example lang ha:
https://www.istorya.net/forums/comput...00-series.html
https://www.istorya.net/forums/comput...or-athlon.html (ikaw thread starter ani)
anyway, example sa processors at the same price range (PCX promo price list, 7-11-09):
Intel (Pentium DC) E5200 @ P 3,250
AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 @ P 3,300
to compare their respective performance, go to this page:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/default.aspx?p=66&p2=78
makita nga gukod2x ra pud ila performance, naa uban benchmarks nga nice ang results sa intel but naa sab uban results nga naa edge ang amd processor.
direct quote from wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentium_Dual-Core) bro:
"Although using the Pentium name, the Pentium Dual Core is based on the Core technology, which can clearly be seen when comparing the specification to the Pentium D series. For example, the Pentium Dual Core has a maximum of 2MB of L2 Cache while the Pentium D processors can have up to 4MB of L2 Cache. But the major difference is the Pentium Dual Core processors only consume 65W peak power consumption while the Pentium D consumes a considerable 130W peak consumption which shows its relation to the Core power-saving technology. Despite having a smaller L2 cache, the Pentium dual-core has proven to be much faster than the Pentium D under a variety of CPU-intensive applications."
ang sikat kaayo nga init nga Pentium was Pentium 4 and nisunod pud ang Pentium D. ang bag-o nga dual core Pentium karon dili na pareho kainit.
and any processor man siguro basta gamiton intensively mosaka man jud ang temperature, anha na na magdaug sa imo gigamit na HSF.

^ between the 2 options and if you're into overclocking, the E5200 overclocks like there's no tomorrow.
what if u using a mtherboard bro nga bati or baratuhan.. maapektohan bah ang performance sa sa imo pr0ccesor ana?
Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2C priced roughly around 2,500
you lose some features compared to some more expensive or full-pledge atx mobos, but this can still overclock your E5200 even to 4.0ghz when properly tweaked. basta nindot lang sad ang cooler...
Both brands are good, it all depends on the user. Each person has its own personal choice, and its really hard to persuade someone to go to another brands.. This is the same with Nvidia vs Ati
Both are good it all depends on you! lol
perti gyung saktoha ni andz..
naa ra gyud na sa preference sa taw, if one is used to intel then pagamitong og amd, basin magyawyaw nga init bisag dili. kung amd fan pod, bati ang intel for gaming bisag nindot.
it also depends on ur computing needs ( games | web surf ra | serious work | )
preference ( single core | dual | 3core | quad | 2 x quad | HEHALEM EX )
and buck$ to burn ( 30K | 50K | 100K | 350K )
not to mention bragging rights to achieve. ( that is if u like : elitist or second rate )
