I was volunteering for a friend, a professor at
UP Dilliman's Environtment Science doing a it's
annual dolphin survey in Tañon Strait, the body
of water between Cebu and Negros
for the lucky person I am (luckier if I can affor a 500mm zoom), still I can feel the
tease of these creatures' annoying and frustrating
habits (to us fotographers) of leaping or doing action
while our cameras are pointed at the opposite direction.
nevertheless, I made some lucky snaps braving through harsh glare (for cameras too)
possible heatstroke, bad sunburn or tan in the wrong areas
of the body. or worst... running out of batteries or
memory card. haha!! you though I was gonna say
shipwreck. hehe
well...here's a few
taken just an arms lenght below the bow of our motorized outrigger the
MV BCA Dolpsin II. we where lucky enough to have glassy, crystalline waters
that time so I didn't let the moment go to waste
one of nature's most intimate and delicate moments
we're so privelege they found solace underneath our vessel...
and did their thing. wild and wet..heheh Tañon Strait scandal.
a calf breaks into a frolic while mommy swims close by
I gotta get me a 500mm zoom lens for christmas...grrrrr!!!
taken on Oly E510, 40-150mm zuiko kit lens. and god bless CPL manufacturers...wohoo!!!
Let's help conserve our dolphins and protect our oceans
every photogrpaher should do their share in protecting
these creatures as these are one of photography's
great subjects. cheers!!
OLY or nothing!!!
