I assumed that you have a network of computers (LAN/WAN).. what you can do is either setup a network printer (UTP or wireless) there are also network printer adapter available (USB to UTP to wireless devices) connection.
it wont work if u using a serial port printer coz it only carry 5V. the limeted distance is only 5 m. if excess that there will be a data lose in your conection
yes wifi print server would be a better option, just try to find kanang naay parallel/lpt port and usb port para you can still use your print server when you upgrade to a usb printer
i think only hp brand has a wireless printer and if you have wifi existing in your network you can also integrate it..so anywhere you go as long as covered from your wifi range you can still use/access the printer.
there are plenty of wifi flavors you can choose from.. like canon, xerox, Dell, lexmark etc depends on your budget.. HP is not only the wifi player in the market.
my recommendation is to move the printer somewhere closer to the computer.
if it is not possible get a printserver appliance(wired or wireless). (if you have an existing network LAN) already.
or buy another printer and put it close to your computer (much cheaper than getting a printserver or those other solutions)
palit lang ug print server device para ma connect nimo sa imong network... you can choose an LTP or USB print server... check HP kay naa silay mga nindot nga print server like jet direct to name one...
kn la pakay router. palit lang og router na naay port para sa printer.
DI-704P D-LINK ROUTER. pwede ni siya.
naa koy print server diri oo.. baligya ni..
txt lang sa ako kong palit mo, 2 parallel port...
