Router Problem

Hi guys,

May I ask if what's wrong with the wireless router when we can't open some sites already (i.e. friendster, etc.)? I know that it's the wireless router (linksys) because when I tried replacing it with another one, the site can be opened and when I used the problematic one, the site can't be opened and the connection is quite slow.

I need your suggestions and solutions on what to do, guys.

or i should suggest reset that linksys router to its default factory settings and start over.

blocked sites + slow connection = misconfiguration. Try to reset and restore defaults..

I am supposed to enter thru 192.168.1.1, right? but when I go into it, it can't be displayed. I'm not really familiar as to the proper way of configuring the router but I wanna learn about it. Can you please give me the steps or something like that?

try the reset button at the back...

if that is the default IP address sa imoha router, then yes. if not, mostly displayed na sya at the back portion sa router.. or tan.awa sa manual.. check na lang.. hitting the reset button at the back will restore it's default configuration.. then try if ma ok, if not.. Professor GOOGLE is always ready. haha

yep just like the other recommendation uptop... reset it..
hard reset... push hold reset button about 30secs to 1min..

i personally let my customers on the phone do 1min...
powercycle for about 15secs... it should work..

ISP? also try universal dns...

got a problem opening yahoomail about 3wks back, in a globe broadband.. i assigned static dns.. universal dns.. i was able to access it..

the problematic router might just got stuck/locked up with the bad dns in the nvram section..maybe..

try reset and reconfigure..

thanx for the inputs. I took all your advice and it worked right. I reset it longer and I can browse now 192.168.1.1 and set up everything.
