Speedstream 4200

globe provided me with this modem/router speedstream 4200

now i plan to hook up to pcs with internet

right now im using the ethernet cable to access the internet (works fine) and also tried using the usb cable (works fine)

so if i connect my PC with the ethernet cable and the laptop with the usb cable will there be a change in the internet performance?? or will this setup work??

(i cant test it myself since the laptop isnt here yet)

yup bro your connection will surely slow if both station are using the internet but its just minimal if you have a fast connection...

it is like a pipe which right now it has 1 faucet (your PC) adding additional faucet (laptop) will not make your pipe bigger but will split your water in two.

preventive action would be pay for a bigger pipe or 1 faucet at a time.

by the way, how fast is your internet plan? 384kbps? 1mpbs?

Base on my experience kung gamiton nimu ang USB ug Ethernet connection at the same time sa imong modem dili mo gana ang Ethernet port. Bell Sympatico a Canadian ISP use this kind of modem.

can you help me with how i will connect my laptop and dt (desktop) with one connection using this modem router?? im confused with how to do this.
