kinsa ganahan power pop diri? makaraan mana or ma bag-0

i love power pop. it's my roots. during the 90s when alternative rock was popular and i was still grade 2 and 99.5 Rt played lots of rock music, i always enjoy when those Mike Viola's voice began singing "you... doing that thing you do/breaking my heart into a million pieces/ like you always do...". i do enjoyed nirvana and pearl jam and foo fighters and even bon jovi at that time (no. country music wasn't still in my life back then) but power pop made me smile...

and then Gin Blossoms came along who linked power pop and alt.country (of course they weren't the first who did it but they were the first i heard).

My favorite old skol power pop artists are:

The Hollies

The newer stuff (or those from the 80's above) includes:

and if you listen closely, power pop,early punk, and alt. country aren't that far from each other...

the early goo goo dolls album(Superstar Carwash)is a good powerpop album. While the album "Jed"is more punk rock.
