PCCI or AKCUPI? whats your stand?

guilliam, ok ra ang AKCUPI to PCCI coz ok ra sa AKCUPI nga member ka sa PCCI at the same time nga member sad ka sa PCCI, but once ma kibaw an sa PCCI nga member ka sa AKCUPI or ni apil ka og shows sanctioned by AKCUPI, then automatic na cancel ang imong pagka membership sa PCCI including your dog's pedigree paper.

for me lang ha, diba rule mana nga there will only be one governing body(for dog registration) in every country? so i would go for PCCI coz sila man jud ang gi recognize sa AKC, kuyaw man gud kong apil ka AKCUPI then naa kay puppy ipa dala sa USA, pagka abot didto dili diay cla mo acknowledge sa imong puppy nga pedigree, so mahimo na nuon og walay papers akong puppy, may untag pwede rako maka og PCCI, dili pajud mo dawat ang PCCI, mao nay naka delicado ana, just my opinion though, and tanan akong gi post base rasad sa mga forums nga akong na basa

mao nang one of the many birth pains ma encounter sa AKCUPI specially that there is already a governing body recognized and had established ties internationally.

I like the question you guys are raising about akcupi, in due time i will be able to provide you with all the answers, I constantly keep in contact with the CEO of akcupi, I used to live in Manila but now I am based here in cebu already. I breed Labarador retreivers and my kennel name is Grand Rapids Kennel, I saw that it is not very easy to register pedigreed dogs here in cebu because we have to send it to manila pa for processing. I like PCCI but have lost confidence with their leadership. I know the peeps who are running akcupi that's why i I feel confident with their capabilities and I support them. They are responsible breeders as well. just my two cents

PCCI all the way! PCCI is improving nowadays and its not really that difficult to register dogs to manila. all you have to do is write a letter about the services you wanted from them then get a postal money order for the fees that needs to be paid and mail it to PCCI, in a month, you will get their reply with the receipt and the services you ordered.

mao, murag ni improve na bya ang PCCI this past year, sauna dugay jud kaayo mo gawas ang mga papers imbis change of ownership lang or pag pa member, karon 2-3 weeks lang gawas na ang mga papers. about sa fees, mas mahal ang PCCI compare to akcupi but mas sure man gud ang PCCI, ako lang na opinion ha

From what i know theres a court ruling that when you register your dog with akcupi pcci should not cancel your registration. in other countries there are more than one registering body, like here in the philippines we only had pcci before now theres AKCupi. In the us alone here are some examples;

ACA - American Canine Association
APR - American Puppy Registry
AMW - Archive of Merit Worldwide
ARBA- American Rare Breed Association
Show organization and registry, you do not have to register with them to show, but they will only accept ARBA, UKC, FCI, and USBCorp registrations to show in their events and to collect an ARBA Championship.
BIC - Bordeaux International Canine
CKC- Canine Kennel Club (do not confuse with Canadian Kennel Club)
Show organization and registry, you do not have to register with them to show, but at one time you had to register with them to collect a CKC Championship.
CKC - Continental Kennel Club (do not confuse with Canadian Kennel Club)
DRA - Dog Registry of America
EKC - European Kennel Club
EKCHD - European Kennel Club Hungarian Division
FAC - Federation of Rare Breed
FIC - Federation of International Canines
FORB -Federation of Rare Breeds
Show organization/registry, you must be registered with them to show in their events
IABCA -International All Breed Canine Association
Show organization/registry, you can show in their shows without registering with them, but if you must register with them to collect an IABCA Championship.

Its always good to have competition so that services will get better, Before we only had PLDT now we have globe landlines, bayantel... Its best that we are informed. for example if the parents of your litters has papers and you didn't register them under pcci, you can try registering them with AKCupi. rates are more affordable and they will attend to your needs right away. Just my two cents worth.

i wouldnt want to compromise my doggies' pedigree record... i would stay with pcci for my doggies' sake
