    Default Building a 50k Rig

    Building a 50k Rig

I'm gonna take this nice and slow, I want to know everyone's opinions and comments and what they think about the rig i am building, as long as it doesn't turn into a flaming/troll fest.

I will probably start buying around end of January if not first week of February, so prices might go down by then..

Since i am not the only one building rigs, i managed to make a pricelist on most the things you'd want in your 50k Rig, so you don't need to look for the prices and such

    Budget: 50,000 Pesos

    Choices:

    *SilverStone ST56F 560 watts - 4480 (Single GPU Build)

Brad, gratz sa imo bag-o na build.

My little opinion sa imo choices,
    Power Supply:
You might want to take a look a the Silverstone Decathon series.

    CPU cooler:
I'm surprised you did not have Xigmatek S1283 Dark Knight or Thermalright Ultra Extreme (TRUE) amoung your choices. Di gyud ka masayop bisan asa aning duha.

    Case:
Dont forget to have a good airflow case. Makatabang gyud na para sa protection sa imo hardware. Nindot ra ba na imo mga specs.

The Gigabyte Odin GT 800 is one of the best Power Supplies in the market, it has awards from almost all the hardware websites, guru3d to techlabs, etc. I just find Silverstone one too expensive.

Gigabye Odin Gt 800 PSU Video Review: YouTube - #887 - Gigabyte Odin GT 800W Power Supply Video Review

Later lang sa case, and naa man ang xigmatek na cooler sa list
it's kinda hard to get the Thermalright Ultra Extreme (TRUE) Cooler, do you know the supplier ?

naa ka plano mu-OC? kung wala, mao ni na specs para nako.

    *Gigabyte ODIN GT 800 Watts - 9100
    *Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00GHz - 9610
    *OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 Dual 1066 - 4000
    *(2x2gb) Dual TEAM Extreem Dark DDR2 1066 - 3700
    *G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 Dual 1066 - 3500

get the 4850 version of HIS iceq instead ani nila, at least maka save ka ug 5K+, bang for the buck pa gyud. same ra ang performance sa standard na 4870.
    *HIS HD 4870 IceQ 4+ Turbo 512MB (256bit) GDDR5 PCIe - 15000

*Sunbeam Core-Contact Freezer Cpu Cooler - 2620 or xigmatek

kung naa ka maplan mag-OC, E series sa intel or stepping go na Q6600 then pangita ug good mobo for ocing.

    gud lak...

I don't think any current CPU Coolers would fit on my current case lol! Yeah tons of people have said to get S1283, there's actually a new king of cpu coolers now, its the latest Zalman.

    Thanks for the comments..

    I'm not really a hardcore Oc'er lol

Sometimes i wonder if 4870 is really worth the money compared with the 4850, as well all know it is the best bang for buck. Would 2 4850's in the future be better? thou less expensive. I love E8400 but there has been so many debates againts Q6600. From what i have read you can get to 3.2 ghz on q6600 on stock cooling, and go 4ghz over with Market Cooling. Thou if only all programs would use all the cores.

Do you know anyone selling OCZ and G.Skill?

    - i think its better to get the q6600...gets u ready for the near future...but medyo gahi e-overclock simply because any one of the 4 cores will be your weakest link...an E8400/E8500/E8600 is also a good choice...4GHz oc is easy...
    - sa mobo get the DFI LP UT series...they overclock pretty well...either the P35 or the P45...
    - for rams get the Mushkin Redline or the Redline Ascent w/ Enhance Vapor Chamber Interface(eVCI) cooling...overclock extremely well...
    - if u are not a games-on-end guy, then a 4850 would be enough...my preference wud be an x2 graphics card rather than 2 cards in crossfire or sli...mas easy to manage...
-for heatsink i currently have Thermalright Ultra Extreme Copper w/ 1366 adapter...ONE HEATSINK TO RULE THEM ALL!!!! no drama...no frills...just does the job extremely well...

good luck on your build...go where your pocket leads u...

wa man naka suggest ug DFI uy, para nako sa layout ug color scheme palang...daug na. bisan dili overclocker, payts gihapon...basta ba reasonable ang price sa imong mapilian nga DFI.
