Mixing CL5 and CL4 rams, advisable??

is mixing of 2 different CL'ed rams advisable? will it even work? need more inputs on this guys if it'll work before i install the 4gb kit on my MoBo.....

btw, heres my ram:

2*2gb xtreem dark DDRII 800 kit CL:4-4-4-12
2*1gb G. Skill DDRII 800 kit CL:5-5-5-15

im using ECS A780GM-A Black Series Mobo.
i have plans on using all 6gb(if supported by the upcoming windows7)
since it only reads 3.25gb on my 32bit winXP if i use the 4gb kit. sayang kaayo ang spare memory na wala nagamit....



note: im not into pc mods and i have no plans to overclock this items...

always remember that your system can only run as fast as your slowest bus.

the same principle applies here. even if the other is fast, it would go down to the level of the slower one.

gskill RAM is the best, i have bought 6 sticks from then from laptop RAM to desktop RAM, all work perfectly, timings arent so important unless your planning on overclocking which you arent, and it will time to the lowest setting of both RAMs.
