    4. VERY hardy, 'nuff said!
    5. Earliest potential can be seen at 3 months (doen't take much to bring out the best in them, only needs high protein live foods, some Talisay Leaves and constant water changes).
    6. Breedable at 3 months.

    26. Local Bettas are sold for low prices for beginners.
    27. Can live up to 2 years if well taken care of.
    28. New strains are STILL being developed such as Giants, Dragons, Snake faces to keep the hobbyists interested.
    29. Highly addictive and well worth the time and effort. I guarantee yah'... Heck, the whole country of Thailand is mad about them!
    30. GORGEOUS, MAGNIFIQUE, BEAUTIFUL Fishes!!!

From their scientific name of Betta Splendens meaning "Splendid Warriors"... They are living jewels. Betta breeders are artists and their Bettas are their living masterpieces...

    Betta Philosophy

Bettas truly are a perfect example of Beauty and the Beast! They have overwhelming physical beauty and they do behave as savage beasts. Male to male interaction results in brutal conflict that ends only when one is so badly beaten that he must totally submit. Male to female encounters often begin as bloody dominations and end in one of the most exquisite spawning rituals you will ever see. Bettas are a template of paradox.
For me the barbarous behavior is just a minor distraction in the appreciation of the beauty that is Betta splendens. I believe that Bettas are not to be used in fighting contests. I believe that Bettas are not to be abused by us - as in the weeks they spend without food in two ounces of water in plastic cups on retail shelves until they die. Sometimes I wonder who is the most cruel, the Betta or Man. I believe that Bettas are to be nourished and cherished for the exhilaration and joy they provide us. Such an animal deserves the best we can give - the best that is in Man.
Bettas have already shown us many awesome marvels. My hope is that with diligent care they will reveal even more spectacular aspects to those of us who love them.

    WHY I LIKE BETTAS:

Why I believe these beautiful fish are the best aquarium pets to keep

I don't like fish. That's an odd thing for someone who raises and breeds bettas to say but it's true. I find fish tanks smelly, noisy, messy to clean, and most fish, although they can be attractive, are boring because unlike cats or dogs they don't interact with their keepers. So, what's different about bettas?

The main difference is that unlike most fish, bettas will interact with their keepers. When I come over to one of my bettas, instead of blankly swimming around, more often than not he or she will face me and study me as much as I do him or her. I put my finger to the tank and it'll be examined. I've even trained my some of my bettas to be fed by hand. They actually jump out of the water to snatch food off the end of a feeding stick. But most interesting of all is that although they don't have any facial muscles, they none-the-less manage to assume expressions that tell me just what they're thinking. No one who has kept bettas can fail to recognize that look of disgust they have when fed the wrong food or are simply fed up with their keeper. Equally so, there is no mistaking the bright look they assume when vanquishing a foe in a neighboring tank or snapping up a brine shrimp.

Add to this their unsurpassed beauty and ease of care and you have a fish that even a fish tank hater like myself is helpless to resist.

    Dogs

(Pomeranian) I loved Dogs eversince and I would love to have a dog which I could communicate with (Not just for Self Status or anything else ).I'm with American Cocker Spaniel before but she passed away. Cockers are very loyal and sweet and not to mention their Intelligence!but since I'm too busy right now, I don't think I could take more care on their coat(they need brushing everyday). So now I'm into Poms and they're less maintenance and Smart too!

    Thay are just amazing!!
