Consider the following:
staple - rice
main courses - usually meat-based (ex. adobo, mechado, afritada, dinuguan, lechon, pochero, etc.)
typical breakfast - rice, fried egg, hotdog / fried rice, tocino / bread, coffee
typical lunch - rice, humba, softdrink
typical dinner - rice, monggos, fried fish, sawsawan
