Hello fellow mountaineers:
We prided ourselves in having scaled the highest mountains in our lives or tackling the most difficult ascents we have faced and we saw many places where few eyes have seen. We mountaineers are a rare creature and obsessed sometimes with hardwares and things that we ultimately possess after lengthy jousts of "to have or not to have". Despite all that, me think we are a fortunate lot worthy of this sport that demand nothing more than just having an exceptional talent for balance and strength and, of course, embracing vertigo. Yet, we are also gifted with a soft heart despite our stubborn disdain for authority and conformity. We have seen firsthand how life goes on in the places where we have passed by and the first thing we notice are the children living there. They are too far away to the nearest school and their opportunity to finish their studies are almost nil. Let's do something about it. Let us give back by providing them something to help themselves. Give them something to make a difference in their lives. I have started something in my own little way and I hope others would follow or maybe, you have other advocacies in mind that is worthy of emulation by our peers.
This is what I am doing now.
