hello! i was just wondering would it be ok to let the consul know that you just want to get a us visa but have no intention of going to the USA?
I was given a travel incentive by my company but I'd rather save the money than go pero sayang man ang opportunity na makakuha ug visa kay mas dali daw ma-approve kay travel incentive man.

You are not going to get a visa that you can use anytime you want. Visas don't last forever. You tell them when you are going, when you are coming back, and for what reason. If you have no intention to go, getting one would be a waste of time since you can't use a visa and save it for when you decide to go.

kiddin aside. i don't think that's possible at all. but if your intentions are only to tell the consul if it's okay to get a Visa without actually going to the US, you can go ahead and do that. goodluck though.

i think you can NOT get a Visa without a roundtrip plane ticket... so how can u b assured to get a visa without planning to go der? mayb u can say u already hav a plane ticket from ur company but i think it cost so much of cancelling it out!

why would you get a visa tapos di ka pala aalis? toinks. gumastos ka pa.

kung sakali free ang pagkuha mo ng visa (as in company expense too).... ikaw...kasi ganito ang alam ko...if you get a visa and you DON'T USE it... next time you do need one...denied ka. kasi u wasted their time in interviewing you the first time. it happened to someone i know of.

is your travel incentive convertible to cash diay? alam mo...sa true lang noh... the education/experience you will derive when you get there... for me would be more than the cost of the trip...and lucky you...FREE ang trip mo. IMO lang.

ayaw na lang pag-usik sa imo time pag ad2 sa embassy kai kung ing-ana imo itubag ideny ka nila dretso tapos ang hassle sa manila..linya pa ka..huwat pa ka sa imo number..then ug dala ka ug mga electronics or phones kai bayad ka sa gawas para ibiliin lang tag 100 raba gyud..then ang lingkoranan pod ngad2 naa pod bayad while naghuwat ka nga makasulod sa building..isave lang sa na for future use basi diay mausab imo decision...basta kung mga tourist visa lang maapprove ka basta makaassure ang embassy nga mobalik gyud ka sa pinas...

if your planning to get a US visa, make up your mind. Its very hard to come by. But if you really want to get one, then go for it. But for God's sake dont tell the consul that you don't have any plans of leaving yet.

one of the reasons why most of the applicants get denied is the lack of understanding to the rule. AN APPLICANT MUST SHOW PROOF THAT HE WILL COME BACK and has no intent of staying there. A round trip ticket helps, but not proof enough. They will always analyze you, if you have intent in coming back.
Be honest, you're applying as a tourist, you have work and enough money to go around the US. If they ask you if you have a ticket ( i think you wont get one) tell them, You will get one if you have a visa.

right now they're giving 10 years multiple entry visas. Meaning you can leave anytime within 10 years as much as you want.

I applied a few months ago, took me 5hrs waiting and finally a 2MINUTE INTERVIEW!!!! with just one question to answer.

Right now im sitting on my ass here in Texas, waiting for for this damned Hurricane Gustav to come.
