mga bro.. patabang ku ninyo ani akung presario v3000. aku unta e xp. naa may prob during sa installation. dli ka detect sa hardisk ang xp installation. naa muy idea kun unsa.on ni mga bro??

the drive is ide or sata?
imho, if its a sata drive, you need sata drivers to be installed first before xp installation can continue.

if your drive is sata, you can either:
1. set sata drive to be treated as ide in the bios
2. prepare sata driver disk and load it when xp setup asks for drivers for 3rd party disk controllers
3. make a slipstream-ed xp install disk from the original (you need your sata driver for this, google the procedure)

bro naka instal nako ana u nid a external flopy drive nya mag download sad ka driver pra maka kita cya sa imng sata hardisk, try contacting HP, nakalimot nalng ko asa nako na butang ang file..naka help man cla nako sauna.. pero next prob nmo after installing is the driver..mag lisod nasad ka pangita ug driver ana kay ang kasagaran driver ana for vista man ..hope this helps

i found some stuf....
The problem is that the drive is a SATA drive. Windows XP has a limited selection of SATA drivers. You have to go to the HP website, download the driver and create a floppy disk with the installation. THEN you have to find someone wiht an external floppy so that the drivers might be loaded during installation (you have to click on F6 at the beggining of windows XP installation).

OR you could slipstream your drivers into a Windows XP disc of your creation. Google "Slipstream SATA drivers on Windows XP" for instructions.

it needs a usb floppy extrenal drive to install the sata drives for xp. but for vista no need.

Pede raman siguro ug Windows XP Pro kng Windows XP Home ka, daghan na siya kulang nga drivers prehas ta laftaf.... pero nag Ubuntu lang ko wakekeke, dili man gud mag hang kng mag code kow

- Kng dagha ka money palit ka windows XP pro,
- Kng sakto ra budget nimo pede ka pirated, pero dili ko mo insure nga secured ka ana , mawagtangan trabaho ang mga kabaro nako nga devs
