pls help... about the compaq presario v3000's RAM

ok just got a second hand compaq presario v3000 laptop but the installed RAM is only 512 mb

i want to upgrade it to 2 or 4 gig but i dont know what to buy... and what is the maximum RAM can be installed?

as what ive read on the net it uses ddr2 533, but im confuse if i can also use the ddr2 533 sodimm

or can i use any like? like the ddr2 667 or something?
