Default 1 phone line, 2 broadband routers?

    Techkies...

Ask lang ko. 1 phone line, i split nako gikan gyud sa box nga kana bitaw naa pa sa gawas sa balay, then connect each end of the phone lines with routers.
Globe broadband ko with data only so no need for splitters.

Plano lang ko kay i need 1 line to my room, another to another house nga daghan i-connect nga computers didto via switch, taas naman gud if sa akong room gikan ang switch nya padagan ko ug 4 network cables didto sa other house, and i want control sa switching off and on sa router, so palit nalang ko extra router unta...

    Thanks ....

    no, not possible.

from the telephone box outside your house, analog signal coming from the copper cable outside needs a modulator & demulator (hence, modem) to encode and decode it to digital signal and information.

you only need one standalone router(if you arent going to use the built-in router feature of the most modems supplied by ISP now) and buy couple of switches to make some to act as "repeaters" if distance of the area is very far(above 100 metres of cable length). but if it is within 100 metres, it can still tolerate due to standard internet connectivity can burst out only up to kilobits or few megabits which can be handled by a standard category-5 unshielded twisted pair cable which is capable of 100megabits(theoretically) transfers on local area network within range.

the problem is, i believe ISP wont allow such sharing internet connectivity to another place unless it is in one enclosed residence.

    To Onin111,

You need to work hard on it, in order to get what you want.

For me, you can't use two broadband routers with 1 line.... you're just like sailing two rivers at a time...hehehehe (sorry for the words).

The best thing you can do is, make a line and for your switch from the router. basically use a straight cabling....
and from your switch, use a crossover cabling.... well, one thing also, if you want a wireless switch...., you can buy a linksys wireless router and configure it as a switch.basically not a router.... i think first thing you can do with the new router is change it's ip address.. the default ip is 198.168.1.1 try another ip to prevent duplication. kay kung mag duplicate, it wont function normally....and it won't detect....

just try this....and just reply if you're having problem about it.....
