There was a lot more than stupidity to his declaration. It sounded like, " I would rather have a Philippines run like hell by me, than run like heaven by someone else". Another politician declared, "the Filipino is worth dying for"... ang sumpay, "because I am in position to be your next president" both guys.. earnest desire to be president. one made it, the other was catapulted into a hero status by a bullet.

I say, "I would rather see Pacquaio win against Bradley tomorrow", and he indeed wins, that is a faith and desire that has come true. Hence a prediction.

Thoughts are things.

Quezon insisted on his preference of a Philippines would be better run like hell by Filipinos than run like heaven by Americans, his thoughts become reality. A prediction is a statement that becomes reality in some later time.
