WHATS WRONG WITH MY PC- upgrading the rig and its downside

bai sayanga gud sa imung videocard napalit? bag o paman to dba? preho man unta tag specs from mobo to ram ug videocard, backward compatible man unta ng mga 8x to 4x nga agp board. so far wala may problema sa kong system ga multitask pman gani then 24/7 cge download. but im glad ok na imu pc. :mrgreen:

lahi siguro version sa imo mobo bro eventhough p4vmm2. coz what i have researched, ver. 8.0 can handle most 8x cards but with 1.3, dapat 2x/4x ra jud daw. but i do see nga dapat backwards compatible ang 8x/4x cards so thats why libog pa jud kog gamay why it didnt work on my pc. anyway just to be safe, ngita nalang jug kug VC nga agp 2.0 compliant sya. and so far naay ni offer nako nga ATI RADEON 9250 ... ok kaha ni nuh.... here are the specs http://toronto.craigslist.org/sys/414658849.html

dili kaga PSU ang guba sa imo rig bro?

ako na giilisan ang PSU bro. dynamo twin fan 450 from the generic 300w. di man pud ko gnahan mugasto ug maayo ani nga pc since im really planning to buy a new one. just want it upgraded a little bit para makaduwa pud halflife2 or far cry or nbalive07 in full graphics... actually nidagan jud ako rig for a week on 256mb 8x video with 512ram pero after that didto nagstart ang prob. replaced the RAM kay naguba daw( may nalang under warranty pa) and then gireplaced ang PSU kay di daw kadaug. so after a week of replacement and checkups... finally concluded that it was the 8x vc daw... daw as in mao na ingon sa tech which i have some doubts on it.
anyway ako nalang giilisan ang VC to 80gb HD sa pcquickbuys where i bought it. may nalang nisugot sila no questions asked. Buotan man gud kog nawong. hehehe

revised v8.1 man akong mobo bai mao cguro diperensya. try pangita og ati9600 4x kung naa kai mao nay payter nga videocard sa agp. nka gamit ko anang 9250 pero medyo naa slight delay sa loading, ok ra pod ang ati9550.

bro just tonight.. my pc crashed... and i got the blue screen again... otherwise known as the screen of death.. hehehe anyway its a... win32k.sys error ... and check around the net and this error occurs with problems either hardware or software = 80% hardware problem (RAM) and 20% error in windows installations. On my pc, I dont think its the software so Im guessing its my PC400 RAM. As what countme_in18 has posted, I think he is right na magproblem jud ang pc400 running in 266 mem bus nga mobo.. well depend sad siguro sa mobo... but my mobo really cant handle my PC400 RAM. Backward compatibility works for some but i guess it doesnt work for me. sigh .. but anyway, I'll continue testing my rig without touching anything.. the screen of death only appeared once tonight while I was checking some mails so I'll just keep you posted if it happens again... sigh.

thats too bad bro... but its an eye opener also, it will give you also an idea to look for a good mobo before buying it.

anyway hope this can help people who are not that knowledgeable about their hardware and are planning to upgrade their rigs. Besides a good way to learn things is through experience. and mine cost me some money.
