Japan's economy went downhill after the worldwar, but inorder to save themselves ang mga taw gipamaligya ilang mga butang para i donate sa gobyerno, that's what progress is, sa atoa do you think capable ta nga mobuhat ana when right now even nga naay disaster mag yaw2 gihapon ta?.

I don't want to go too OT but I'm going to add/correct: Japan's economy has always been meager throughout the the early part of the 20th century (meager BUT industrialized) until around the late 30s, when it tanked sharply. It rebounded during reconstruction and peaked in the 60-70s. Contrary to what you said, even though the Japanese are naturally disciplined people, they had a lot of critics within the country during the post-war times. My point is, criticism does not hurt growth. In fact, the Japanese were not an optimistic people after the war, they were, however, disciplined. That's why there is so much we Filipinos can learn from the Japanese. The argument that people have to support the government in order for growth to materialize is plain false. So really, discipline is the key, not complacency. People can be critical of the leadership but at the same time disciplined to do what is needed and right. Additionally, leaders have an obligation to restore and maintain the people's faith in the government, in Japan they take grievous offense with public servants caught in scandals or incompetence, and so, it is a big disgrace for them to be caught in anomaly or deemed incompetent--they off themselves. Here in the Philippines we embrace it, it has become something so integral to our culture. Why? partly because of our lack in discipline as a people.

    Sorry for the OT.

There's a difference between optimism and trying to downplay the situation.

If we don't demand for accountability now, who will? When? We deserve better from the government, especially in critical times like these. Simply saying, "That's what our government is capable of, sabta nalang" is tantamount to tolerating mediocrity. We've been screwed over by the government so many times, haven't we had enough? You're right, the government is a reflection of what we are. It's a government that tells of a people who no longer care about getting the short end of the stick all the time.

Anderson Cooper was just saying what he is been seing. I know naa mga tao nga gi pakatap ang gobyerno dd2 sa tacloban pero kay americano mn si anderson maong naka sulti siya a2. Kay if sa US pa ni nahitabo walay minuto ang response and it would be so large nga macontain dayon nila. Naanad siya ana nga lihok sa goberno, and it is not that bad if ingon ani sad unta ang atong goberno.. ug ingon ani sad unta to atong e expect. We have a problem and we need to address these problems rather than magpoint2x ug finger kinsay sayop or Pobre mn gud ta.. We have to change this. We need to act dayon and it should start with the national government.

Walay nakiglalis ana.. Pero kung na problema ka.ana. Kay sa mga taw nga imong ghatagan sa relief mura, I don't know kung volunteer ka or trabaho na nimo...

Ang pangutana diri is ngano dugay... Kung dugay kay naa nag concentrate sa usa ka area ug mo.angkon na kulang ug manpower... Then okay rana... Pagka.on gud na... Dili mana kwarta nga gpang hatag... Nga pwede ra unya.unya.on...

Ngano man lagi ang Davao naka response man Dayon nga ka layo adto...

Hino.on ang imong gidefend kay ang relief goods man kay lagi puston ug unsa pana Diha... How about medicines, doctors, nurses, military... Dili man jud na puston.. Unsa naman sad imo ikasulti...

Strongest typhoon ever recorded... Wala diay nag.andam ang national government... Maskin mga first aid man lang... Hahay.. Cge nalang.. Imoha man sad na....

Wala sad koy mahimo kay active bya kuno ka about ingon ana. Pero naa kay idea Asa sa Norte ang nag kulang sa relief kay basin amo ma.adto.. Just Incase naa mi sobra...
