yes it does matter bay.. preparations are good for things we can predict bay, but not the things we dont have the capacity to predict.. you cant always prepare for anything..

Jhared, first of all, mao ni giingon ni PNoy ai pag interview niya ni Amanpour.

"First of all, typhoons are not an unusual occurrence for the Philippines". -- PNoy

Although naa nami kasabot

Yes sogod ako ghimo reference point padung dulag, tolosa, tanauan to tacloban... Sunday to..

Wala man ta nagpamaayong laki diri.. Pero bai klaro kaau... Kahibaw Baka kung concern ka sa tacloban.. Naa pay daghan nga area aside from tacloban ang na.igo... Like cebu naa sad nay mountain barangays ...

You hear this cliche often, but it is the truth: "Time is of the essence". Considering that enough time was afforded prior to landfall, and the significant warnings given about this freak-of-a-storm, the national government's preparedness and reaction was abysmal, even without drawing comparison with Japan or other first world countries. 5 days to plan... just wow.

PS if you are a relief worker, I'm not trying to insult you or anything, in fact, I commend you for your efforts. My criticism is directed to the higher-ups or the so-called brains of the operations on the government side of things. Di jud na mao nang mu hatag ug false assurance, even though in truth it was lacking to begin with. There was zero contingency plan. For the record, I understand the problems regarding logistics. But five days to plan is CRAZY.
comparing our country to other countries doesnt seem right, for inorder to be like Japan or any country you find praise worthy is to work in synergy and be of the same mindset you know, and i know this is much of a cliche but it should start within, confidence should be born within.. Japan's economy went downhill after the worldwar, but inorder to save themselves ang mga taw gipamaligya ilang mga butang para i donate sa gobyerno, that's what progress is, sa atoa do you think capable ta nga mobuhat ana when right now even nga naay disaster mag yaw2 gihapon ta?.

it's no use kong ang president ra ang optimistic, nya ang iyang gingsakupan kay sige ug yaw2, you know, movement and progress dont work that way.. i know what im saying sounds bullshit but that's how i see it.. kong mo trabaho ang usa mosunod mana ang uban, pero kong mag yaw2 ang usa mag yaw2 mana ang uban sad tungod sa influence,... so you see, kabaw ko nga naay mga problems, i see it in the news everytime, i have my share of thoughts about the government, but i must help in any way i can inorder nga makabangon ta, kay pait... our government is just a reflection of what we are collectively..
