This is like those filipinos who are shouting "Pinoy Pride" who are living in the states and not in the phils.

I can't help but agree to hypocrisy, I often see it in churches (no offense) but still can't help to wonder how about those who are not? those people who pushes "cariton" just to teach children.... those teachers who climb 5 mountains to teach a class who can't even afford to buy slippers? those who would die to defend this country.

I guess every country has its own hypocrites, it's just that our population is bigger that we can say we got plenty.

Europe was ruled by the Romans, Spain was at one time under Muslim control, Israel was ruled by so many empires so many times I couldn't keep count and lastly our Malay ancestors might have colonized indigenous people too. I find that excuse fallacious. Whatever our shortcomings (like mata-pobre, hambugero, mga senoritos, senoritas,) are our faults and no one elses.

Bisag di mahibaloan kinsa ilang gibutaran jud pero since mao namay nabatasan nila or mao naman naandan nila mao nay ilang ginabuhat.

My point is ma influence or mausab nimu ang Batasan sa tawo for just pila ka years lang, How much more if ma influence nimu ang batasan sa tawo for more than 400+ years?

If we keep on pointing out the wrong and not do anything about it , then we have given up.

I remember my dad telling me , one can make a difference , lets start with ourselves and in a little way make a difference with what we believe in. I know giving food to street children (not money) doesn't change things overnight but you have made a difference in some minute way.

He goes on to say , we don't need money to change things ... if we are healthy enough , we have our hands , our minds , our time and heart to help out in some way. I know this is an idealistic way , I accept this country is screwed up but an individual choice has to be made - Do I sit around complain and not to anything? or do I accept this country is broken but with my hands slowly repair the problems around me.

You can't control government , culture of its people , lack thereof ... but you can control yourself.

Don't worry about the things you can't control , worry about how you can best help to make it better

Hope this helps - my 2 cents

just this weekend, i reprimanded two youngsters, they must have been in their late teens or early twenties, for throwing candy wrapper on the street (snow bear) when a city garbage bin was a mere six steps away ( i measured it by actually walking).

    you know what they did?

they got mad, challenged me.. "kinsa man ka bai?"

yeah.. do little things for our country. i did.

Sakto baya nang it will start with ourselves pero if mao nay buhaton naa cguro kausaban pero dugay jud kaayu kay dili tanan tawo susama natu ug panghuna huna, naa juy mulahi.

So if nhan tah madali ang change gamiton natu atung balaod, dapat strikto ang implementasyon + tagsa tagsa natu ka disiplina ug good example, kana murag mapadali jud. Murag bata bah, patilawaun jud ug bunal para makat-on dayun

ako kadaghan nako naka witness ani klasi nga incident and not just those mga bata pa
sadly kato pag gyud mga uniformed employees in the mid 40s nga mura ug normal na mukaon sa dalan then if mahurot na ang wrapper buhi-an lang not even gilabay sa daplin, just like that.

One time katong naa pa lagoon area ang Ayala sa may grassy area naa ga bible meeting/sharing we passed by then pag balik namo agi wala na sila but ilang mga sagbot nga na porma pud ug lingin like the way they are also formed in a circle sa ilang meeting. I dunno unsa ila nakuha sa ilang bible sharing siguro si "God" ang papuniton nila sa ilang sagbot or bahala na si "Lord"
