magproblema na sad sila ana, kay wala silay experience in making a card at the 32nm process. rumors suggest that ATI is going to release a 28nm process card on 2nd half of this year....

Massive availablity by April 6th but I doubt if we are included.
TSMC is skipping 32nm and will go straight to 28nm.
So the real Fermi might be at 28nm.

If the semi accurate article was true Nvidia was sending limited number of wafers to TSMC. So well see on the release date. If Nvidia has solved the yield problems then there should be no problems with availability.

I think this should be the other way around. "TSMC was sending limited number of wafers to nVidia."
or can be restated as "Nvidia was ordering limited number of wafers from TSMC."

If we consider the GeForce line-up, nVidia might sell them at break-even prices.
But Fermi will also be available as Quadro and Tesla products and this where the money is.

Just an example of how the same chipset is priced between GeForce and Quadro products.
    GeForce GTX260 = $219.99
Quadro FX 4800 = $1,499.99 - lugi ba? Tesla products are priced more.

Well, I don't really care who's losing or gaining money.
As long as we have competitive pricing, that's all that matters.

i don't think makabawi sila by selling Quadro FX cards.... pila ra man tawn mahalin anang Quadro FX cards... sa tibuok kalibotan... pang developer ra man na... the bulk of sales is from selling Geforce cards... kung ingon ana pa ka dako ilang makuha from selling Quadro FX cards, ngano mas kusog man ilang marketing sa Geforce?

OEMs are the biggest customers for Quadro parts not individuals.

nVidia did not have a solid GeForce product beginning second half 2009 up to now but its financial record says otherwise.

High end pc market is not that large. Even Large companies with huge number of employees would rather provide mid range systems (Mid range OEM components)for their employees rather highend systems, because of age old practice of cost effectiveness.

Only professional developers use highend components that uses quadro(High end OEM parts) and they are substantially lesser than a large company who provides midrange systems to their employees.

Nvidia does not gain huge in highend OEM market but they also have a large portion of the midrange OEM component as well.
