draft of tire rules for 2010 season

TIRES

1. Tires with a UTQG of 201 or higher is allowed, PROVIDED, it is manufactured by any of the following companies:

• Bridgestone
• Cheng Shin Rubber
• Continental AG
• Cooper Tire & Rubber Company
• Dunlop
• Falken Tires

• Federal Corporation
• Firestone Tire and Rubber Company
• General Tire

• Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company
• Hankook Tire
• Kumho Tires
• Michelin
• Maxxis
• Nankang Rubber Tire
• Nitto
• Pirelli
• Sumitomo Rubber Industries
• Toyo Tire & Rubber Company
• Bb
• Yokohama Rubber Company

2. Tires with a UTQG treadwear rating of 140-200 IS LIMITED, TO THE EXCLUSION OF ALL OTHERS, TO THE MAKE AND MODELS LISTED BELOW:

HANKOOK Ventus RS-2 should qualify, except for the following sizes, 215/40ZR17XL, 23540ZR17XL, 245/40ZR17XL, 215/45ZR17XL, 315/30ZR18, 265/35ZR18XL, 225/40ZR18XL, 235/40ZR18XL.

YOKOHAMA AD08, AD07 and ADVAN SPORT

NITTO NT-05

TOYO PROXES R1R

FEDERAL 595RS-R and 595RPM

3. Tires with no UTQG treadwear rating or with a treadwear rating below 140 is not allowed.

There are other tires that have a UTQG treadwear rating of 140-200 which i did not include in the list the reason being that the UTQG traction rating is not the same as that of those in the list. Examples of the excluded tires are:

sige will wait for that list btw ang bridgestone potensa na r 040 or 050 murag readily available even pag palit sa akong eclipse, lancer and gt turbo all tires naka bridgestone potenza na 040 even the new MRS mo gasto nasd ta ligid ani hehehe... if dili pwede.... anyway affordable ang surplus na bridgestone tag 1200 to 1500 per tire..

If we include 1 tire with a UTQG traction A then we should include all tires with the same spec on the list.

Another option is to include tires with a UTQG traction rating of A to the list but must have a UTQG treadwear of 180-200. UTQG treadwear of 140-179 must have a traction rating of AA.

Nindot kaayo ni da, kita na gyud ang katag ani, if ingani na ang set-up, i think timing system is very crucial kay mag daug nalang ni bya fraction of a second. Patas na kaayo ang oras.

for me, this is a big step for autocross here in cebu. kay maba-id gyud ang skills and talents sa mga drivers and not depending too much on car set-up.

ALLOWED TIRES ARE:

****street tires with treadwear rating above 200 will be allowed even if it is not listed...this way 99% of the normal street tires locally available will be qualified to be used for Autocross*****

Ako ge check ang Maxxis MAz1 Victra....it has a UTQG 280 treadwear so even if we did not list it its still qualified to join......pero ako nalang ge apil ug lista....

If its another model of maxxis let me know cause I will check the ratings....
