larvs,
Sorry for that. Just got mixed up... hehe... done with editing my post...
Isn't E398 the Moto ROKR?
Sorry but I'm not into Moto and I'm closing the door for Nokia either. I'm just so fed up with the candybar form factor. Ever since I have been loyal to SE. My SE T68i still works. I used to own an SE Z600 before I got the SE W550.
There was also this group, an unofficial group of SE hackers who were working on a new firmware for SE T610 and Z600. But it has been years and it never got released til I grew tired of waiting.
I didn't know til now that this was also possible with the E398.

...sorry but these are mostly negative comments); I've got two friends who has it so I was able to fully check it out as well. Everthing looks nice... but the thing was fragile. It was so small and so light. E730 is clamshell and it opens at some angle with no clicks heard unlike my old SE Z600. My gripe is that I would want the thing to open more at shall we say 175o so I can see the screen clearly. That was just impossible to do.

BTW, the speaker that i uses is the main speaker on top of the main LCD screen that you place near your ear when making calls. It is actually a cheap multimedia solution to their bearer - D600. On the other hand, camera quality is very good and even recommend it. No lagging is noticed when moving the camera around when taking pics. But memory is limitted to 90MB.

Another thing is that it is so conservative making customization quite limitted. Connectivity through IR was an issue for me cause I use IR to transfer pics to my old palmtop which doesn't have bluetooth. E730 sadly doesn't have IR. I've also heard that bluetooth on most Samsung phones are a bit choosy. Samsung makes quite beautiful phones but they're always incomplete.

Just one thing about the keypad, there is no dedicated "back or exit" button. Usually the right soft key is the exit button for most fons (other brands) but for this one it uses the Clear - "C" button if the right soft key isn't available. Meaning there are instances where you use the "c" or the right soft key to x-out from the menu. It's not quite an issue though. Just takes time to get used to especially that i am an SE user. Overall, this is the second option shouldn't I've opted for the W550.
