We have the same bad experience with PLDT. I'm a Subscriber for 3yrs now and last May 2011 i opted to upgrade my service to 1Mbps from a 512 bundled DSL plan. Ni call ko sa 171 and had my request done and not more than 3 days change daun ako plan from php990 to php1600 a month so i was happy since pas pas au then i was expecting change daun ako speed to 1 Mbps since charge na gud daun ko sa new plan plus prorated charges. 10 days past since na change ako monthly plan to Php1600 but ako speed 512 lang gihapon. So i called almost every other day na to follow up with my service kay alkanse nako but they kept transferring me sa tech na wa lain ipa buhat but power cycle imu modem then blah blah blah promise cla naa na troble ticket. One month past but wa gihapon na change ako speed and the best part na charge ko sa php1600 and the prorated charges. What the!!!! And to think i called almost every other day.

So after a month and few days of calling and waiting i decided to have my service changes reverted back to my old plan 990 but the best part i was still ask to pay the pro-ration charges and the one month service. Wahhhhhhh! Then to top everything naa pa jud downgrade fee.

Karun naka receive kog legal letter demanding for me to pay all those charges which is unjustly charge. I currently consulting a legal counsel on this issue especially i'm processing a visa and i don't wanna have this stupid issue affecting my Visa.


THESE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW WE ARE NO SOME DUMB ASSES WHO WILL JUST TAKE THEIR STUPID CHARGES.

sa school sad namo bro kay cge mi panawag sa pldt kay nag wonder mi hinay kaayo internet connection, dili gani kaabot 1mbps instead of 4mbps nga plan, pirti ka dugay sa action. gi check jud sa tech gikan pldt here sa school unya la man jud ma solve,so gi try niya og check sa box, kana bitaw naa sa gawas, na found out nga gi tap man diay amo linya sa previous nga technician sa pldt nga nagtaud, mao na hinay kaayo. pstilan jud, mao jud ni modus operandi sa mga technician, mo offer sila og internet connection for 200 pesos only kada buwan, illegal man diay kay gi tap ra sa lain.

Its as simple as this :

- If you signed a CONTRACT for a year with them , you have to pay because you are liable for that .
- If wala kay gi pirmahan na contracts or any form that required your signature that you are hooked with them for the enxt 1 2months , then you are good . You dont worry a thing from them .

We have to be responsible CONSUMERS also . Just because we always think na manghadlok ra na sila , di na lang pod ta mamayad . UTANG gud na siya , angay na siya BAYARAN .

Di gani ta capable mo bayad , di ta mag tuga tuga pod gamit , palit , order , etc .

Naa usahay sayop ang firms when they do this because usahay factors ang miscommunication , late replies , confusions etc but dili ni sila buang mo padala ug notice nato pod if we have something that they need

Bitaw better, pay up nlng ka bro. Bata pa rba ka, sayang mdaot imong creditline. Mblacklisted ka. Cgro d ka nla ikiha bt d gyud na mwala ang issue. After a yr or two, pdala nsd cla letter.

Bt try lng ko tok to sumbdy sa pldt, compromise mo sabayaran esp wa gud na nimo ggamit

Don't get me wrong guys but I still paid what I owe them which was the 1000 monthly fee since that's the speed I'm still getting. As of the moment I'm still in negotiation with their customer service for credits on the things they were not able to provide me. Their rep promised me again for these charges to be corrected. Especially the Php 1600 ++proration. I don't have plans of running away from the charges at all because I can totally pay whatever charges they have thrown my way but just the idea of their reputed company to screw you with charges you didn't use at all is just not right. Just to think they have thousands of subscribers. I just wonder how many victims of this situation have paid up just to do away with the hassle and blacklisting/bullying modus. I hope its not their scheme to increase profit by generating these type of issues to their customers because if it is its a David and Goliath battle jud. And frankly our justice system is not too keen on small people vs. Monopolistic company.

As for the legal counsel my friend lawyer is still on consultation and research on this matter and he'll gimme a feedback by the end of the month (since cut-off sako bill by the end of the month). I just hope REALLY REALLY hope none of this will affect my visa applications coz if does then its a different ball game.

simple rana. kung ma blacklist ka sa company 1 go to company 2. kung ma blacklist ka sa globe go to pldt. ma blacklist ka sa sky go to cignal hehehe
but in terms with my credit card i keep my credit line clean. i don't know why i bothered having one in the first place since i practically don't use it. mao na peeps if you can pay it in cash use cash. don't spend way above your means.

naa ragyud na sa imo TS to pay or not to pay. i for one have the capacity to pay my dues. but honestly if they demand me to pay for a Crappy service then i choose not to. kadaghang kaso ga lutaw karon and do you actually think they go full force just to collect 5k from you?

storbot ra na bai. i even applied for a broadband net at globe. 2 months na inatay nila na connection not so much as an offer or call to fix. akong gipaputol ang linya even though they have a lock-in period.

nakalarga man gihapon ko bai. in fact, i left the country 3x in the last 5yrs since i terminated their non-existent service.

i told them i am not obligated to honor their contract because they themselves have violated the contract by NOT providing me ANY broadband service at all. may nalang siguro sa usa ka semana naai connection! the contract is binding between their service and me and since they have NOT provided me with any service then the contract is void.

I agree.. pang haldok rana sa PLDT... Gi ignore ra nako ilang letter.
