    Im asking this because most IBM thinkpads have this problem.
    Most especially the not so latest models.

    Tan-awa daw, basin naay naka-assign nga IP.
    Dapat wala sulod tanan. Dapat Auto Detect na.
    "Obtain IP address automatically"

    Same with the DNS.
    Dapat auto or unfilled na.
    "Obtain DNS server address automatically"

    Mao lagi brad wala gihapon. Ako nana gibuhat tanan. Wala dyud same ra gihapon.
    Usa raman ka antivirus ako giinstall.
    Btw. Lenovo laptop diay.

    Try to see kuno if naay ThinkVantage nga software inside.
    See if its running.

    If naa, try to disable it.

    This software has been giving my tenants a lot of problem.
    Tenants from IBM mismo - and they dont know.

    Try lang.

    so u able to connect w/ ur desktop (or other unit) but kana lang jud nga loptop diay sa?
    ipa check nalang nag balik kong asa na nimo na palit brod.. ma dalikyat pana...
    tsk tsk..

    shodi anang vista brod, mas nicer gihapon ang xp nga o.s....

    but windows 7 authenticate na gud na imo browser..dr must b wrong inside sa imo pc or software naka obstruct sa imo connection...kana murag advance or higher level of configuration na jud na bro...

    usahay mao sad ni ang mahitabo sa ako kay modetect sya 2 network. ang ako buhaton, adto ko sa device manager disable nako ang ethernet adapter and after few seconds enable napud nko them maka-connect nko sa internet...

    basin wala maka-auto obtain imo ip bai. try daw ug check sa imo ip...

    Ako pud na gibuhat ganiha. Ako gali bayaan og mga 15 minutes same raman gihapon ma disconnect siya after seconds na nigamit ka og internet.

    Mao lagi ipacheck na lng kuni sa mga technician sa tindahan nga gipalitan.Naglabad na dyud akong ulo. Gikapoy nako pero wala pako pul-i. Go Go Go gihapon. hehe. Sakto pud ka kay kung sa signal pa Out of Coverage Area nako. heehe.

    use good known cable.
    check IP address. If 169.254.xxx.xxx naa na problema sa imong hardware.
    reinstall driver.
