Internet Connection Problem...

I'm using DSL.
When i connect, it says it's ok. I'm connected.
But-
--------------when I launch my browser (either Mozilla or IE) the sites cannot be found/opened.
---------------when I launch my P2P application ( Limewire) it would prompt that my pc is not connected to the net.

Pls help me. I'm confused now. The icons for DSL and modem/ethernet says I'm connected.

I have already used this laptop for 3 months w/ DSL.
this problem only occured last week. sad to say, i have to rent on a cafe to post this problem here.

you have a browsing issue or ip connectivty issue bro since ur DSL can connect but youre not getting any data frm the net. Try to ping a website
to verify if you have a browser issue , if it can ping, guba imo browser if you cant ping then same thing nahiabo sa akoa... ni freeze ang DSL... no data transfer

poor_prince is ryt... bitaw try pinging while it says that your connected.

check for spyware and addware if no gotry another browser, try winsock if no go turn off ur dsl modem and unplug it from ur wall outlet if no go reinstall OS... it's not a hardware issue it's ur browser,

ako my dsl freezes intermittenty probably, im thinking ni init ako modem, tabangai ta ani bro, updates lang!

amo pud dsl mo -freeze.... well bisag init ang router.. mobalik ra man pud taod taod... even if la dsl... i can still use the network...

so i think sa ila ni nga problem

open a DOS prompt...then type a command

c:\>ipconfig /all

you should have obtained an IP address from your ISP.

after this issue the command

c:\>ping www.yahoo.com

let us know whats the result.

Then on (c:\> ping www.yahoo.com) --------- I received the ff:

What could be wrong? Pls , waiting your ideas guys...
