I think witn Dirt 2 just set texture settings to non-Ultra (Ultra for DX11)

i compared dirt2 windows7 64 bit all high 1680x1050 average 49fps sa win xp same settings 60fps man average nya looking at the grafix wala jud koy makita nga diperensya.

big loss in fps with unnoticeable improvement in grafix mura adto gyapon ko xp ani. depende lang tingali case to case basis.

Because running it under windows 7, Dirt 2 will automatically switch to dx11, whereas under xp it is limited only to dx9. Daghan nag-ingon gamay ra diperensya, depende ra na sa imo.

yup, mao ako pasabot bro nga gamay ra kaayo or dili jud makita ang improvement sa grafix while gi pi-angan ang frames. but maybe lahi-lahi ang effect per game. depende lang tingali. but for dirt2 specifically dx11 is not worth it para nako lang.

AFAIR, tessellation is not quite noticeable on racing games such as dirt 2. It was from an article though I forgot from where nga games such as fps will benefit visually from tessalation. Mas mahalata daw.

Just to clarify, Windows Vista users will still benefit from DX 11, through a simple separate download, or possibly in a future service pack.

Vista already has DX11 through automatic updates.

In terms of gaming Vista and 7 have very similar performance.
