we had consecutive 3 digit temps last week. forecasts for this week is a little better at higher 90's but it's still HOT if you ask me.

^ Heres another reason why dili kaayo grabi ang init especially sa Cebu...kay it is surrounded by a Body of Water. Unya ang shoreline du-ol ra.

probably, specially here in Dallas where the closest body of water is down south in Galveston, TX about 6-7 hr drive and a little bit past Houston. maybe that explains it. but i don't wanna speculate here 'coz I'm not sure if that argument holds water.

California braces for more possible blackouts

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - As the death toll from a scorching heat wave rose and record demand tested the state’s power supply, energy managers feared they may have to trigger rolling blackouts.

The National Weather Service issued another excessive heat warning for Tuesday, with temperatures expected to reach as high as 112 degrees in the Los Angeles area.

Authorities were investigating at least 29 possible heat-related deaths since the heat wave set in on July 16. Most were in the sizzling Central Valley, where temperatures have been in the triple digits and were forecast to top 100 for a few more days.
