mind your business... i don't mean to be rude but, just don't think about it and do your thing...positive thing to stay in that company.. especially if ganahan ka sa company...

Exactly... this kind of attitude towards office politics will really help you survive. Avoiding office politics completely won't get you anywhere. Eventually, it will hit you and if you got no experience on how to handle it, then you're in deep sh*t.

There is no such thing as avoiding office politics. On your very first day at work, you're already part of it. So rather than avoid it, I would advice you to face it and practice how to handle it. If you can't handle it, quit your job and start over again.

lucky nalang karon akoy sunod nga ranggo sa manager, pwede nako mang bully sa lower ranks, hehehehe...pero i wont do that, that's unjust and inhumane, kay lisud na ug ma ihaw ta, ehehehhe.

It really depends if you want to dive into it or not.

If you want to be involved with the least amount of politics.

Be transparent and be honest, leave no room for manipulation. Pretty easy huh?
Not so, sometimes people rile you up so you put your defenses up.

Here are the list of things they want to happen:
Get you emotional...mad, overly happy and sad...when you are emotional it makes you prone to temptations or provocations.
Get you to make big mistakes...big mistakes are always the first thing everyone remembers especially your boss.
Get you to lie...sorry but you've just been corrupted by office politics.

Here are list of things you need to keep doing:
Report to your boss as needed. Like I said, be transparent.
A big mistake is usually the accumulation of small mistakes, report these mistakes, the sooner you will be reporting them the more conscious you will become and hopefully you don't repeat them.
Don't ever lie even just to cover your ass, admit mistakes and apologize properly.

When you are involved...that's for another time

Office politics sucks, but it's everywhere. So we should live with it, and learn our own way of office politics.

Few people can handle it and most people can't. But those who can and thrive on it end up being in the higher ups. If you want to be a boss some day you need to know your way around people. People skills>technical skills in the office.
