Para nako dili man perfect ang sands sa lapu-lapu unlike boracay. nakagasto sab na silag millions and millions para manindot and worth pod bayaran ug dollars as entrance fee sa foreigners...that helps pod sa atong economy kay they are paying taxes(the problem is, wa ba kaha gibulsa?)...

bitaw, as a yanong mamamayan, uyon ko na i-open ang mga beaches para makakita tag gabikini na foreigner without paying entrance fee... hehhehehe

If the sand erosion or mo transfer ang sand to other resorts front ang problema then butangan ug small dike to prevent sand from getting washed away...Dikes not fences ang itukod.

Destroy the fences, build dikes/breakwaters...

dude! the one who posted this is definitely right. i hate the fact that people (the owners of those beach resorts) are hella selfish. tsk tsk. naa koy migo sakto jud iyang gi ingon bai. ana siya nga di ta dapat magbayad ug entrance sa dagat kay hinatag gud na sa ginoo nato para i-share nya paninduton. nya pabayran naman nuon para maka enjoy ta sa beach. grrrr. hahay.. and also about those fences. luod jud kaayo tan-awn.. like for example sa vistamar. sorry pero im just tellin the truth. nangadto mi pag sunday. sus bati jud kaayo ang dagat. instead nga malingaw kag ligo didto sa water sa beach adto nalang kas pool. tsk. hugaw kaayo ilang beach. they dont even clean it. its full of sea weeds!! grrrrrrr. they dont know how to take care of the ocean. may lang sila mangwarta way labot maunsa ang dagat. paita jud uy..

and yea.. by the way. please help mo ug limpyo sa dagat. bisag usahay lang. kanang naa moy makit-an na trash anywhere sa beach maski na diri pud sa city. please pick it up. and throw it properly. its a small thing but its a good start. im doing that as well. and if managhan ta. mas maayo

its often a strange experience to go to the beach in lapu-lapu because of all the fenced properties. most of the lower end ones don't even bother to make improvements (scary CRs with toilets that don't flush, dirty beach area, ramshackle cottages, they allow videoke and loud music), they just want their entrance fees.

its a strange experience because i have been to many beaches (mostly in the philippines, some abroad) and the beaches are not fenced. whether you are staying in a luxury resort or the cheapest accommodations, the sand and the swimming areas are for everyone enjoy. the main difference is, these many places followed the rule about building their structures (i.e. resorts, restaurants) according to the prescribed distance away from the shoreline.

the problem with lapu-lapu is people started fencing before many became aware that such a rule existed. so now their reason is "everybody has their fence up, why can't i do the same?" wrong, lame, selfish thinking.

the effect on me? when i can afford the luxury places, i go to lapu-lapu. if not, i don't bother. i just get disappointed. i'd rather take the drive to argao's beach.

it will take an very organized move to change the status quo and to implement the law. however, the strongest voices will be those who are from the area.

Maayo bitaw cguro nga tangtangon nang ilang mga gi koral-koral diha sa mga beaches and leave nature alone nga mo banlas/mohugas sa balas diha sa mga beaches diha sa Mactan. Pagtoo god anang mga tag-iya ug resort diha, sila tag-iya sa balas.

btaw noh, nganong ing ana mana sa opon? kutob ra gyud ka mka stay sa imong resort gibayran. sukad pagkabata nko, opon man gyud mi mangligo, but when nkasuroy ko sa bantayan and panglao for the first time, mkalaroy2x ra gud cla thru different resorts along the shore.

what about this, why dont we concerned citizens band up and come up with a masterplan for a proposed rehabilitation of LLC's beach-front, which would include the physical lay-out and policies, then submit it to the city government or the PB?
