Assuming you're using a router, mapaduha, tulo or upat ka computer, it would still be the same procedure. Kung DSL imu connection, any computer can be use to set up the whole configuration . But if you have Cable connection, that's a different story. Usually, you'll need to clone the MAC address to get it working.

They can set up encryption on the router aron wa jud mkasulod imu network including ang imong shared files. Magpanilap na lang unya sila nga magtan-aw. Kakita sila sa imu network pero dili sila ka-ambit kay encrypted na man. Kung paranoid jud ka, go hide your network so that they see nothing at all.

Bro fiero19, mangutana lang ko nimo para makat-on ko from U. Bro, kung mo gamit ka ug router all computer e-connect sa router isa radyud ilang NEC Card. I'm I right? Once maka connect sa router and tanang PC maka access na automatic sa Internet. I'm I right?? Not like using switch magkinahanglan dyud ka ug additional NEC Card sa imo host PC isa para sa connection sa switch then and isa para sa modem then e-configure nimo and host PC to share internet connection. I'm I right Bro, kung mo gamit ko ug router dili ba lisud pag configure? Kinahanglan bani ug assistance sa ISP provider?

Medyo nalibog ko gamay sa imu post. Binisay-on lang nato aron magkasinabot ta. Sagulan gihapon nko English. Sulayan nako tubag tanan nmu pangutana. Basically , mao ra jud na configuration nga imu buhaton. To be honest with you, mas lisod nang imu gibuhat compared when your using a router.

- Yup, usa ra kinahanglan nga NIC sa kada computer.
- No, walay host computer kung mogamit kag router.
- Although dunay gitawag nga main computer. Gamit ra na bay kung Cable connection imu gi-set up. Ang main computer mao nang computer nga naka-register(ang MAC address) sa imu ISP.
- Ang pinaka-common nga connections kay Cable ug DSL.
- Kung Cable connection, kinahanglan nimo i-clone ang MAC address sa main computer. Bale, kopyahon sa router ang MAC address sa imu main computer. So in a way, murag na-ilad imu ISP. Tan-aw sa imong ISP, imu gihapon main computer imu gamit. Pero, this is totally legal.
- Kung DSL sad, hatagan kag username and password sa imu ISP. Literally, imu nang ibutang sulod sa imu router aron maka-online ka. Bisag asa nga computer pwede gamiton. Walay main computer kung DSL imu gamit.
- Kung special imu configuration (for example, gihatagan kag static ip address) better read the manual. Supposedly naa sa manual tanan instructions for setting up your network bisan unsa pa nga connection type. Excerpts lang ni ako kay lain-lain man gud ang paagi sa kada manufacturer. Lain-lain pud ang GUI so di jud ko kahatag ug step-by-step configuration.
- Kinahanglan kag physical connection sa router ug sa computer nga imu gamiton pag-set up. Meaning dapat dunay Cat5 cable nga ga-connect sa imu main computer padung sa bisan asa nga LAN port sa router.
- Kung maka-online na gani ang main computer (Cable) or ang computer nga imu gigamit pag-set up (DSL), dritso na lang ug connect ang uban nga computer, dapat maka-online na tanan. Siguradu-a lang nga nka-set tanan nga modawat ug dynamic ip address.
- Basa lang gyud sa manual bay. Way lain makatabang nimo. Kung wa gyud, tawag sa ilang tech support hotline (sa router). Ambot kung duna tech support diri sa Pilipinas ang D-link, Linksys, Netgear, etc... Dili na support sa ISP kay dili man ila ang device.
- Ang setup sa iCafe kay ingon ani na bai. Gikan sa ISP --> modem --> router --> switch --> computers. Kung mamatay imu router, patay tanan. Kung mag-set up kag iCafe, advise the owner nga magpalit ug extra router. I-configure daan kay aron duna back-up in case of emergency. Palit sad ug extra nga switch.

Mao ra ni ako ika-tampo bai. Hinaut nga natubag nako tanan nga ga-hasol sa imu huna-huna. naks! ...hehehe

Bro usual nako nga buhaton kung small office networking with internet connection kay switch ra akung ipa palit ug additional NIC Card sa host nga PC. Starting now mag study ko using the router.
