fyi: vista is just an operating systems just like xp. for powerpoint, it's an office application which is sold/to be installed separately.

if you just use powerpoint for viewing presentations, you may download a free copy from microsoft's website, it's called powerpoint reader. on the other hand if you need to create/edit presentations then you need the full powerpoint application which is bundled in office applications, you may consider microsoft office for that, latest version that is optimized for vista is ms office 2007.

there's also openoffice as suggested above, it's freeware and serves the same function as ms office, the equivalent application for powerpoint is openoffice "Impress".

I use it since 3 month, and do not have any issue!
I first booted it from a second hard disk, and preserved my XP on the first harddisk.
But after a couple of days, I stopped running XP and used Vista all the time.
ALL my programs are running absolutely fine, if have no issues at all.
All hardware was recognized properly.
In my opinion, if the hardware i right, Vista is the go.
I believe, people who have problems all the time are using the trojan loaded illegal Vista version...

windows vista looks great, a few compatibility issues, but that only forces you to update ^^

As I mention, it depends of your current hardware.
All my hardware was 100% compatible, all my software too.
Maybe older systems will have some issues, and older software, but even my very old (1999) Delphi 5 compiler runs fine... hm...

no prob ang vista basta update kung orig lang ang cd.... kung dli ka afford sa genuine eh d sa linux lang sa.

I am currently Vista free. woot. I've switched my main desktop from Vista to Linux and dual boot with XP for games. For months I wondered why I even spent the money to buy Vista Ultimate my development didn't require it and I've spent less and less time using Vista.
