DO THE FOLLOWING:

In your IE browser, open TOOLS>INTERNET OPTIONS

in the INTERNET OPTIONS window, select the CONNECTION tab.

Select LAN Settings. All must be unchecked under the LAN Settings window. Apply.

Check if you can browse now.

Update us if you wish.

what if he cant ping? what can we suggest?

in your case prince. try to trace asa kutob imo ma ping. first check if you have obtained an IP addess from your ISP. next ping your pc. then your gateway. then your dns. and lastly ping a web site.

it pings a site pero it hangs up intermittently, like maybe after 20-30 minutes while connected, pero if i disconnect/reconnect again, ok na.... wat u think ?

i have unchecked all the boxes on the LAN window.
When I launched the browser , however, it says
" ..page cannot be displayed.."

so still i have not surfed the net now.

what's our further action now? pls help.

indie, provide us the complete result of the ipconfig /all result. take note the ip address, subnet mask, gateway, dns, etc.

poor_prince, try lang ping multiple points at the same time. one window pinging your pc, another your modem, another the dns and another the site. then check which one has timed out.
